Pleached Trees OR INSTANT SCREENING

You can use pleached trees or instant screening to extend the height of your garden fence or wall to make your own private garden. We can supply them at any time of year and shape them to meet your requirements.

Instant screening in

Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus)

The clear stems typically measure 50cm to 220cm with bamboo frames on top. This means you can use them to match the line of an existing wall or fence or use them as live fence panels.  Have a look at the photograph at the bottom of the page to see how much growth two seasons will bring. Hornbeam often has some brown leaf retention over the winter for extra cover.

The clear stems of other varieties of pleached trees tend to measure 180cm plus because of where the leaves and branches develop. We attach bamboo frames- most commonly at 150cm wide and 120cm high to the top of the stem - but we can adjust the frame to meet your needs.

Evergreen INSTANT SCREENING

We can make Evergreen instant screening or pleached trees from

• Prunus lusitanica

• Prunus rotundifolia

Evergreen instant screening has clear stems of  200cm to 220cm with a bamboo rack of 150cm wide x 120cm high. Please talk to us if you need other dimensions and we'll do our best to help.

BESPOKE PLEACHED TREES

Our nursery specialises in making pleached trees to your measurements. So if you want trees where the clear stem of the trunk ends at the top of your wall or fence, we can help. We use good quality fully feathered Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) trees with 12cm to 16 cm girth.
